Amber Fernbach
I was born in Moosic, PA, with an identical twin and raised in a Christian home. After graduating from Penn State University in 1998 with a degree in Applied Behavioral Science, I married Michael Fernbach, whom I met in college. Soon after, our son Joshua and daughter Jessica were born, and both were diagnosed on the autism spectrum. I took the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom during their younger years.

During this time, I served in our church, Servant Church of the Abingtons in Clarks Green, PA, where I volunteered in the church's nursery department and led the Teen Bible Quiz. I also began working with adults with intellectual disabilities, eventually transitioning to casework with young people experiencing first-episode psychosis.

In addition to my professional work, I enjoy photography, reading, arts and crafts, and especially making hand-decorated sugar cookies.

I joined the African Missions Project on a mission trip to Kenya in June 2021, along with my daughter. While there, I witnessed the Kenyans' love for Jesus and others, which deepened my interest and love for the people there. Now, I work alongside the African Missions Project to help Kenyans have the opportunity to know Jesus and to support their success in achieving their God-given potential.
