On September 1, 2024, Faith Church had the privilege of hosting Bishop Eliud Nyakundi from Kenya. Bishop Nyakundi’s visit was a powerful reminder of God’s love and the importance of true faith.
During his time with us, Bishop Nyakundi expressed profound gratitude for God’s unwavering love and faithfulness. He emphasized that God’s love is overwhelming and everlasting, urging everyone to embrace this divine love and allow it to transform their lives. His heartfelt singing and passionate sermons conveyed a deep sense of reverence and awe for God’s grace.
Bishop Nyakundi spoke about the spiritual journey of surrendering to God, highlighting the need to let go of old traditions and fully embrace God’s will. He drew inspiration from the Biblical passage in Acts 17, discussing Paul’s encounter with idolatry in Athens. This analogy served to illustrate the importance of understanding and rejecting false idols in favor of a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
His message also touched on the religious landscape in Kenya, particularly the growth of Assemblies of God churches in the Ki area. Bishop Nyakundi’s reflections on the need for personal faith and the rejection of superficial religious practices were both thought-provoking and encouraging.
We are grateful for Bishop Nyakundi’s visit and the powerful message he shared with us. His words have inspired us to deepen our faith and continue our journey of spiritual growth.
